Why do girls prefer dark hair over other hair color?

I've never heard a woman say she doesn't date men with dark hair, but as a blonde I heard "I don't like blonde guys"
Do women prefer tall, dark-haired, and handsome men because they are more mysterious or they have greater contrast?

I like darker hair colour on a guy because I’m a natural blonde and I don’t want to date someone who has the same features as me, it would feel egotistical. I like opposite features. And there’s also just something very sexy about dark features on a man (hair colour, eye colour, etc).
