Is there a difference between a nice guy and a good guy?

You know how, when it comes to dating, some women say they want a nice guy? Well, I'm interested in seeing if there's a difference between a nice guy and a good guy. And if there is, what is it? This question is mainly for the women, but guys can answer too. Maybe the opinions differ.

Basically means the same thing. But I also think those who are truly good/nice guys won't announce it to the world that "I'm a good guy" Good guys never need to tell people they're nice. Their behaviour. Their actions... their intentions shows.

So when a girl is sad a nice guy would say
“It’s not your fault, don’t cry”
A good guy would say
“It’s gonna be alright.”


The difference is the first is trying to influence the situation into a false positiveness
Because maybe it IS her fault.


The second is just accepting the situation and choosing to offer comfort (without imposing it)

Basically what Agape said, but I would add that "nice guys" advertise how "nice" they are just to get closer to a woman for the sake of trying to have sex with them. It's manipulative and wrong. Good guys don't need to advertise anything. You can just tell they are good. A good guy also won't get upset and harass you if you reject him. "Nice" guys will, figuring you owe them for their generosity.

No. A lot of women think there is though because most women are very poor judges if character. And a woman will refer to a guy who is nice to them as a nice guy. But some of them are genuinely nice men. And some of them men are just guys trying get in her good graces. But since generally these types of women who suck at telling the difference generally don't know what genuinely good men are and she has no respect for either. Those women thier meter for a good man is are all out of whack. They're generally attracted primarily to men who display toxic behavior, guys that appear unattainable, and guys that they have to work a little for. But guys that really do not want them (at least for nothing more than a roll).

Nice guys usually refer to people pleasers. Good guys are genuine guys who won't compromise.
