Are glasses negative for men but not for women?

Question

Is it just me or does glasses not hinder a woman's ability to get men like it does the ability of a man to get women. There are some men with glasses that can get women but only far and few in between. They are usually connected with "nerdiness" or "boring - non exiciting" or "weak" or "clumsiness" in men (not all the time but most of the time) but with women they are seen as cute or smart plus sexy or smart and cute or any positive connotation to them. Basically there is no negative effect glasses will have on women in the dating pool like they do men.. any opinions on this?

I've worn glasses my entire life. Married twice, first for 20 years, currently 9 years and counting. After my divorce, I dated several women. I never considered glasses an issue.

I'm thinking women are looking at more important things in a man than whether he wears glasses.

Women invest a lot more than men do into looking good. It is not far off being the primary career of many. So it is not surprising women will look better in glasses than men.

I honestly found my ex hotter with glasses on and one of the guys I dated last wore glasses and was rather hot. Maybe I just like the nerdy look lol but I don't think glasses take away from a man's looks and in some men it actually enhances it.

Most of the guys I've had crush on wore specs. My current boyfriend wears glasses sometimes for reading. So, no. I don't think wearing glasses makes you less attractive in women's eyes. Most won't mind/care and some even find it cute.

No glasses usually signals intelligence and an intelligent man is always attractive to woman.. If he is ugly or his demeanor is cowardly or he dresses like a nerd that is the only way it would be a minus. If he looks fresh than most woman would be attracted if he is attractive.

From my experience glasses are only a negative if you're insecure about it. A lot of people are bullied in their childhood for wearing glasses, four eyes being a common insult. Probably where the insecurity starts. But you have to unlearn the stuff from your childhood and be confident.

Just going to chime in here on glasses in general. THEY'RE FUCKING MISERABLE TO WEAR EVEN IF THEY MAKE YOU LOOK BETTER OR SOME OTHER QUALITY!! Taking them on and off constantly, bending the frames, having to keep the lenses clean, stupid lanyards that make you look like a degenerate librarian. I hate them.

There should be statues in every public square to whomever invented the contact lens!

If you’re good looking, man or woman, you’re going to be attractive. Doesn’t matter if you wear glasses or not. Hot people aren’t hot because they wear or don’t wear glasses.

To me it depends on the type of glasses. Some men wear really ugly and outdated glasses. If its a stylish pretty one i would love it! My father wears rimless glasses which completely suit his age/personality/vibe and looks really proper and put together w his glasses but i’ve seen men who wear ones with silver plastic handles and weird glasses which i personally find ugly
