How do people even meet, talk and date?

No one approaches me like that. I don't think am bad looking, I am friendly appropriate. I had few men I found attractive but am too scared to say that out loud, so if no one comes to me first then that's it unfortunately. Do I need to flirt like my friends to seem available? Or what?

Am in university, I do meet a lot too, and everyone seems to be dating someone or multiple, then am like do I look scary or something but I do talk to almost everyone and I am nice. I don't know really

I don't like parties, I can tolerate them, I tried engaging last year in like 3 events or maybe 2 but it was like uneventful

I am in one... but I don't think any one like me like that in there 😂, currently I joined one on medical stuff. There is a guy I find cute and attractive he comes and goes n I don't think he is interested so I just move on. It's kinda of difficult to start a conversation with someone new.
