Do highly emotional people annoy you?

The types who gets offended over every little thing, can't ever take a joke without getting super offended, can't take criticism. Just like I was talking to an obese man who couldn't accept the fact he was fat. So I said "ok, you aren't fat. don't worry". Then suddenly he realized how dumb he was. These people can't accept the truth unless it is pleasant to hear. They believe in what makes them feel good rather than what is true. Sometimes I would have to LIE to them to make them feel better. Telling them the truth will kill them or they would end up killing me.

I know of a 53 yr old woman who wants kids so badly that she still believes that she can still give birth. She was so offended when I told her that she probably wouldn't be able to have kids... she almost screamed at me.

Another time, I was bored and made a joke about a guy's insane music he was listening to. Then telling him that I was just joking immediately afterwards. He flew into immediate rage then yelled at me for a very long time afterwards

I can't see how these people can get along with anyone who isn't an ass kisser. What kind of person in life would only tell you what you like to hear most of the time?

Yes they genuinely annoy me and actively avoid scenarios where I have to talk with them. I'm a very blunt guy and always ask for bluntness myself. Obviously this doesn't mean to blatantly insult me, but say things as they are.

Me and my good friend are always telling each other as it is. I've told him he's getting some man tits and he should do something about that, and he was like "Fuck man you're right." A few months later after working out and dieting hard he got back into shape and lost the man tits.

Same with me. He always tells me when I'm right and wrong in family situations. He doesn't butter it up. He'll tell me I need to stop being a bitch and making excuses and work harder if I want to get to where I want in life. And I appreciate it all. It's a good kick in the ass.

People are so damn soft nowadays. You can't say anything without offending them

I don't really like emotional people that spill their negative emotions onto others and are insensitive for ironically being sensitive. Think of a sibling or boss that you feel like your walking on eggs around (extreme cases but it really takes all sorts), if you please them you get pulled into their power dynamic games and if you push back you feel the same way either way. I do have time for people who are mature with their emotions have depth without being reactive over things. For example for the 53 year old if you got emotional but was mature about the hurt in a deep way I'd respect it a lot more than going into blind rage and being extremely defensive. Some people need a reality check for their sensitive ego rather than the feelings themselves, healthy ego usually expresses emotions in a grounded but deep way.

If I'm 53, I wouldn't get offended if I won't be able to have kids anymore at that age. Because thats just the truth. Its not like I would want to have kids at 53 either.

Sometimes the truth is just the truth and you just need to accept it. Some people are just in complete denial about everything. they live on lies cuz they can't handle the truth

If you've ever been on a dating site MOST women on there think they can have kids over 50. I think some women have a hard time accepting windows that are all but closed.

But to answer your question yes, I do not like overly emotional people. But let me be clear. I don't mean people who are overly passionate about some things. We all have our triggers, I guess. I mean more the people who are always overly dramatic about EVERYTHING. Everyone needs a hug now and then or reassurance. But people who do it all of the time are just narcissists and are just tiring.

If someone says a vague statement like, let's improve our education system, will people be more likely to agree or disagree, versus let's improve our education system by x (and x could be say, teaching about Bible or the LGBT)

If you ask some people whether academic cheating is wrong, several people may say yes. But, do you think out of those people, everyone has the same definition for academic cheating? Is referencing a solution manual cheating? Some people would say yes, others no.
