Women want family and security at that age. Men are still taking risks and building themselves up in a way that will fail to provide for those needs at that same age.

Men and women do not develop at an equal tempo. Women burn hot and fast while men build slow and even. 10-15 years is a healthy gap.

Has to be determined between the two adults involved. I don't see dating as a problem. But a 14 year age gap gets wider as people get older. Predicting the long-term solidity of such an age gap is hard to say.
