Is it wrong of a guy with an average IQ to date someone with a low iq?

Why doesn’t it happen as much and why is it also frowned upon? Like for example let’s say a guy was an average IQ dates a childish girl who has a 70 IQ? Is that a power imbalance?

I believe there are laws around not being able to date people who are severely intellectually impaired if your in the normal range. Though they dont measure in iq.

If they're both adults and are getting something out of the relationship there's nothing wrong about that. There are always power imbalances between people. Some involve education, others personality and some intelligence. 70 is considered slow-normal.

Mr or Ms 100 might see something other than intelligence in that person that recommends them or attracts them.

Isn’t that what happens in a majority of relationships. Usually the man has the higher IQ. I mean he would have to if a majority of the women want a man who is more intelligent then them, a leader, decisive, and so on. She’s wanting a mane ho is better than her in almost every way. So w that said yes most likely the men are usually smarter than the women in most relationships.

I was tested at 15 to have an IQ of 137. If I couldn't date people with lower IQ 20-30 points below my own I couldn't date. I actually did the math on it there would be 1 in 100million women I could date which is only about 40 in the whole world that exist for me to date with my IQ or higher that would good matches for me and my prefrences. I never did the math though to see how many of that 40 would have an IQ higher then mine that would exclude me from their dating pool. Guess I know what I am doing this afternoon.

I personally would and do but by your example of IQ difference being a "frowned upon" , power imbalance it would be terribly frowned upon and huge power imbalance because as I understand it IQ is not a linear scale and the difference between 100(average) and 130 is greater than between 70 and 100. But it isn't wrong to date anyone when you are doing it for the right reasons.
