Do people actually find foreign or ‘exotic’ partners more attractive?

Question

I wonder - because whenever I’d date someone they’d all make it a point to give me cute nicknames that were related to my country and nationality.

And all my boyfriends have been foreigners as I have lived a big part of my adult life abroad…

1- Chinese

2 - American

3 - Recent potential candidate being German

and I’ve noticed they all seem to have found it exotic that I was Georgian and make some nice remarks on it.

I wonder if people find it hot that their partner is from an exotic culture?

I do like exotic people myself, but at this point Georgian man is the most exotic for me, me having almost zero experience with them 😂

hmm...

as someone who has always been with someone that's not from my city or state, I really had to think about this... lol

first, I would say... I do not consider them "more attractive" but I have happened to find them more interesting and intriguing, yes... I however, do not "close the door" to locals, I have never done that

and now that I think about it... even all of my best friends are for elsewhere too but that's just how things happened to happen in my case, it was not something I planned or looked for

I think I'm just very intrigued and interested by people and their lives, so of course... people from other places, other cultures and life styles might be just more inclined to share a lot of that and also hear about yours...

also... I really love accents, that I really do, that I find it extremely attractive, but I don't "fetishize" that, I don't see it as "exotic" I just genuinely love it and so I am drawn into it

Sometimes I do , also my friends’ here try to convince me to no longer date USA girls’ and to date a girl from another country , because apparently girls’ from other countries treat their men better than Girls’ here in the USA , because of their culture and the way they were raised. Most of my friends’ were married to USA girls’ that all ended in divorce including myself , but now they are married to foreign girls’ and seem happy as can be and tell me I should find a foreign girl, Me personally doesn’t care where she is from , as long as she is beautiful to my eyes and treats me great , that’s all that matters.

I think “foreign” or “exotic” can feel intriguing in the best way… like there’s this extra layer of mystery to someone lol. Different culture, different habits, different way of seeing the world… it pulls you in a little more.

And it definitely goes both ways. You end up being just as “interesting” to them as they are to you.

For me it’s not even about the label of “exotic”… it’s that feeling of discovering someone who’s a little outside of what you’re used to. It just makes everything feel a bit more exciting.

The two guys from my last post… the close friend is a very handsome Korean guy. The newer guy is Salvadoran.

Let’s not mention the guy I told that he looks like a model a the store. He’s European and Japanese lol… and coincidentally lives super close to me. Just moved into the neighborhood. Such a nice guy…

Definitely, but tbh I'm only attracted to European women and certain Asian cultures where there are cultural sympathies ie Chinese, Japanese, etc.

Obviously Aussies tend to be very attractive. But I really like American women at the moment. I met one who is gorgeous. She was flawless and had her American super white teeth. The contrast between our accents is actually crazy though. The way she speaks, she has that super loud American brash confidence. Where as my voice is more calm and introverted. It's like we're at complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

I think they “can” be more interesting which is a draw , at least at first , making them slightly more appealing.

wouldn't say it necessarily makes them more attractive , attraction is multifaceted and being foreign or exotic could be a negative or a positive depending on our ability to communicate and be understood.

Personally, I don't care about people's country of origin, as long as it isn't an enemy of the USA. The only reasons I would be interested in a foreign partner would be if she had better morals and was more fair in the relationship than many American women are. Also for looks so she wouldn't be really fat with tattoos and a nose ring. I think that looks gross.
