How can I tell if a guy loves my personality but isn’t attracted to me?

I know I sound very insecure right now but I would really appreciate some answers. I know I'm not an ugly woman, a lot of guys find me attractive but obviously not all do (as there is litt no one that everyone finds attractive). And I saw a post somewhere where the boyfriend confessed online that he didn't find his girlfriend attractive. Now that scared me a bit. How can I know if a guy is dating/"courting" me because he ONLY likes who I am but doesn't find me physically attractive?

If a guy is courting you it’s going to be pretty clear, because he will be asking you out. Trying to decipher what holding eye contact for a few seconds means is ultimately a waste of time, since nothing is coming from it. I know you were in that situation where the dude ultimately had a girlfriend, but the signs were there because he wasn’t trying to progress anything with you.

So if a guy does these things, but isn’t approaching, and if you’re also doing those things, and not approaching, what would you say comes next?

That’s basically the point of what I’m saying, which is: if nothing is happening, because neither of you are making a move, then what good does it do to look for signs of interest?
