Do some girls just not text?

If a girl does not text you does it mean she is not interested? Or are there girls that just do not like texting? There's this girl who seems to like me from what she says/does in class but I have tried texting her and either get no response or just one worded answers.

So is there a chance she just doesn't text or is it more likely she doesn't like me?

Well are you being fun enough over text? If someone sends me a text that say "hey" or "how are you" I most probably wouldn't answer because it's boring as hell and just makes me think ah whatever. Even if it's a guy I'm crushing on. Keeping things exciting or funny by making a joke would attract her to reply. It could also be that she doesn't have time to text. That may seem hard to believe but I go through phases where I'm super duper busy and just don't have time for chatting over meaningless things for the sake of it. But if she's persistent in this behavior even after trying to say something funny to her then maybe it's not the best choice to keep sending her texts cause then she probably just isn't interested.

see the thing is I sent a couple texts that were funny from something that we talked about that day and she didn't reply, but I didn't ask a question in them...just kinda assumed she would respond you know? Then a sent a text that had a question in it and she responded, but with a one word answer. I never see her text in class, and tbh she's a bit different than most girls.

She does seem to really flirt with me...laughing at everything, eye contact, physical contact, jokingly teasing around..

@XRabbitheartX I don't agree. Why shouldn't you reply when they ask how you are? I don't think that's nice. Besides, what if the guy's character is not based on humour?

@Question asker: I don't think you need to always start of with something funny. The important thing is just to be yourself, and the right girl will come. If she's not happy with the way you are, then frigging ditch her and look for someone else to crush on that likes you for you! Why should one act like someone they are not?

FeeFee I understand what you're saying but sometimes in life you need to make a effort. When we go out we dress nicely or might put on nice perfume. Texting for me is kinda the same. You show someone you're making a effort to talk to them and that you have put thought into a text. You're not just taking 2 seconds to quickly type out some message. If he's not a jokey person then fine he doesn't have to crack a joke but sometimes you need to put in a little bit of thought and work into something.

You can't really determine if a girl likes you by if she texts or not. Firstly, it could be that her phone plan doesn't include free texting. It could also mean that she doesn't like you, but if you say she acts like she likes you in class, then it's still very unclear whether she likes you or not.

If she DOES have free texting, however, then its likely that she doesn't like you, because in my opinion, whether a girl likes texting or not, if the guy she likes texts her, she WILL reply one way or another.

i hate texting; I like being more up front with people. I only text people like my mom...or someone close. Anyways, you should not text someone you have feelings for, you'll only make her feel as any other fling. To really make a girl happy is by looking at her in the face, smiling and speak, don't text! make her think your verbally intelligent, lol!

yeah these days we show digital interest in each other, so maybe just move on and assume that she's just being nice to you in class for the sake of being nice

Don't freak out, sometimes, texting can be boring. She may be busy, or is not the texting type. Honestly, if I'm texting a guy, and the conversation isn't something that is like important (like figuring out times and dates for certain events) I sometimes forget to text back. so don't feel bad :)

It doesn't take much to text, but some people can't be bothered with it. Hate to say it, but if a girl really liked you you'd be hearing from her. She'd be thrilled to be texting you.

yeaa, I really hate texting. Inless it's a interesting convo. She probaly is juss not a big texter, I know people who have liked me for sure, but would be very short while texting. Some people are more of a talker

I'm a girl and personally I just don't like texting. I will have the best conversations in person or on the phone, I just don't like to text. People get so mad at me for it, but its just me.
