What does Cis- Gender mean?

Cis, short for cisgender (pronounced sis-gender, or just sis), is a term that means whatever gender you are now is the same as what was presumed for you at birth. This simply means that when a parent or doctor called you a boy or a girl when you were born, they got it right.

So basically, it means that you were born a woman / man with a vagina / penis, and you actually identify with the gender that matches the genitals you were born with.

So, throughout history, every heterosexual person is now what the trans community would consider a CIS man or woman. Because you are a man or woman that actually chose to be a man a woman. But not really because these men and women never had to make a choice. They are what they were born to be.

So, if you met a man or woman that insisted on being call or referred to as CIS, would you date them?

I mean you would have had no reason as to not identifying them as a man or woman, so would their need to identify as CIS be a Red Flag to you?
