Who were they in your life?

This guy I’ve been talking to in a more than friendly way online for over a year told me that since I found out his real name, he felt a little nervous continuing to talk sex with me. But, he said he liked being my friend and still thinks I’m very hot.

Now a month in, I’m hearing from him on a daily basis again, he sends me lots of pics of what he’s doing, he asks me questions anddd he called me “doll” twice the past couple days which I specifically told him that I liked in the past. Is this him warming up to me again or am I overthinking it?

Do you guys know about this dynamic between the black cat and the golden retriever? It’s essentially a grumpy and sunshine trope. As suggested by its name, the black cat/golden retriever theory is based on the typical traits associated with these animals: the golden retriever symbolizes a lively, extrovert , friendly, enthusiastic, and faithful companion, whereas the black cat represents a more aloof, introvert , not friendly, self-sufficient, and mysterious temperament. In the context of dating, I've observed that the more feminine partner often takes on the black cat persona, while the masculine partner tends to align more with the golden retriever characteristics. What are your thoughts on this dynamic? Do you prefer a golden retriever partner or a black cat partner?

I matched with someone on 2 other OLD apps before we matched again on this one. The 1st time, maybe 2-3 msgs were exchanged before I deleted the app. 2nd time, we move to IG & he initiates wanting to meet up but I was put off by the fact that he never looks at my stories/reacts to posts but wants to meet in person. I just feel like you should show some kind of interest in my personal life if you’re quick to meet in person. This time around, he asks how I’m doing and actually talks about something interesting, which is what makes me reconsider. From earlier last week to this past weekend, we’d message maybe 1-2x a day on the OLD app but it was 24 hrs before he replied again to me. He answers my question & asks if I’d be interested in doing some kind of activity with him. Tbh, I’m busy this weekend & would consider the next but I don't know if he’d buy that.
