Is enjoying college possible without being in a frat?

All the girls go to frat parties, frats don't let guys in, yeah, it's impossible to enjoy college because you can't party or meet any girls.

1) You can get into frat parties without joining if you know a brother

2) Depending on the university, as little as 15% of students could participate in Greek life. My university is like 20% I think.

3) You can party with friends. You don't need to be in a frat to throw a party

4) Tons of girls don't go to frat parties, and the ones that do either have dates or are very hard to talk to. They do what we call the circle of safety: a bunch of girls huddle together somewhere and don't talk to anyone outside their circle.

Host your own parties like I did. Back in Canada, colleges and universities are two different things. University has frats which I always found were full of wankers... I went to college where there aren't any frats and we just got together and had parties with whoever we wanted when we wanted. Frats seem childish and call back to high school mentality.

honestly I don't need to spend my time around drunk preppy guys who expect me to be OK treated as less than equal to them.
nothing against boys in them (some are really awesome!) but that kind of party scene is overrated

College isn't about partying or meeting girls. I am trying to get straight A's and spend all my time doing homework - I don't party at all - I flirt with guys - but they are guys I have mutual classes with or go to bible study with.

It's definitely possible to have a ton of fun in college without being in a frat. That being said, I'm in a sorority and have many events with frats and in my opinion, college is a lot more fun if you're in greek life

I'm not in a frat and I'm enjoying college. My college has about 600 clubs/organizations so finding a fit is extremely easy.

Also, do you have any idea how much it cost to be in a frat. The frats at my school charge anywhere from $800 to $3000 PER SEMESTER in order to join. I don't know about you, but I don't need to pay 3k in order to make friends and find a girl to talk to me.

Exactly, paid friendship. I also find it annoying how they call themselves gentlemen, yet 99.9% of them are only "gentleman" when needed to be, like a philanthropy. Most of the time they are a bunch of drunk asses.

No lol, only been to 2 frat parties and hated it so much. The music was horrible, and a bunch of girls who literally threw make-up on their faces, a bunch of frats drunk off their behinds, and a bunch of socially awkward people standing to the side of the room. The people I've met and have been friends with were people I met while studying in my dorms lobby, doing laundry, or playing intramural sports, and a majority are from people in my classes.

lol only the hoes go to parties, and frats pretty much let anyone in whos willing to prove themselves, pretty much all of those people are the ones who end up in debt, with a crap degree or dropped out, hell actually most of the people who party at college, aren't actual college goers, I found this out as most of them were just dropouts.

It depends on what university you go to. If pretty much everyone at your university is in a frat or sorority then you might have trouble finding friends who aren't who you can party and meet girls with. If like less than half of your university is Greek then find other things to get involved in that will allow you to make friends and meet girls
