Why does my boss tease me?

It's playful, not mean. He's always finding ways to banter. He'll tease me about stealing his copies, or making his desk messy when it's my desk. Or he'll pretend to run away when I ask him a question.

He doesn't tease anyone else like this (that I know of at least).

Just curious if he's trying to make things more fun or less serious or if he's showing dominance or what this might mean.

Does he just think I'm a good employee?
