Why does my boss just seem to pick on me?

So I got this job as an order picker for the summer. I feel like my boss just checks up on me which is a little strange since I'm working hard and completing 4 full orders a day. Some other people are not following the rules like wasting the time going to the toilet about 20 times a day and completing orders slower than me

I was honestly all set to tell you that if you just keep focused on your work and don’t even pay attention to what others are doing, your work will speak for itself, and the rewards will follow! However, then I noticed you wrote that you only fill four orders a day… FOUR? That’s all? I don’t know what orders you are filling, but unless each order is building a custom hand made watch, or assembling extremely powerful custom ordered gaming laptops, you are probably not doing nearly enough work! I don’t know whether you are full or part-time, but even if you only work a half a day, that means you are only filling ONE order per hour! Maybe that’s the issue? Especially if the people who “take 20 bathroom breaks” fill four HUNDRED orders per shift.

When I mean order I'm talking about picking up atleat 400-600 items per 1 order of food then putting them onto a palet. 4 orders is good and that's what other workers are doing. I do oder picking for a supermarket in a large warehouse. There is other that don't even complete 4 orders so I'm not surecwhy he bugs me a lot

Well, obviously nobody here will be able to tell you why he “bugs you a lot”’, but if you are anything like me, I understand that sometimes you just need to get it off your chest by telling someone! I hope your employment situation improves, and you are appreciated for the work you do.

If you're doing the best you can then do it. Others will eventually get a write up or get fired. Some bosses do tend to check up, that's their job as managing their team
