Why is my boss acting so possessive of me?

i have a male boss and I worked with him for years and only now he started really being concerned with me after I came back from mat leave. he smiles when I smile at him like I've never smiled before, he asks the girls where I am when I'm out for lunch and with who. when I confront him, he denies he was and then can't even look at me in the eye. he just gave me a raise. damn. is he crushing on me? lol

He might just think you need more money now that you're a mother, he might just be trying to be nice...you'd know I think if he was crushing on you. Most likeley he wouldn't ask other people at work about you if he had any ideas...that would be too obvious.

Well he ought to be ashamed, shouldn't he, hitting on a woman who's--married, right?--at work, especially as a boss, it's not only wrong but these days it's illegal.

One of my pet peeves is that these laws are rarely used against bosses, but women use them against ordinary guys, co-workers, to punish them after a break up or just out of meanness.

The bosses are still getting away with this sort of thing for the most part.
