Well I'd like to learn more of my own heritage language Chinese but more southern dialects instead of northern dialects like Fuzhounese, Ningbonese, Shaoxingnese, and Shanghainese. I'd also like to learn Korean and Han Dynasty Chinese.

As for Western languages I'm interested in Italian, Portuguese, and French. I miiigghht be interested in Danish or Dutch but not super sure. Last of all I'm interested in Farsi.

But if I'd had to pick a few to be serious about it would be Italian, French, Portuguese, and Korean.

Latin, Spanish and Japanese. Japanese is a top of the languages I want to learn, mainly because of my job. I don't know how many times, I've watched videos of people who get a Kanji tattoo and don't know what it actually says until after someone who knows Japanese points it out to them.

@g0dof_GaG could say the same about many English-speaking countries, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from learning English on that basis. Japan has its problems just like any country has problems, but I find the language itself interesting and beautiful in its own way.

I've been to both Japan and China. In China I saw poor people trying to survive, shitting into holes. In Japan I saw talking machines, lots of covenience stores, vending machines, happy people and toilets with 15 buttons.
I know which I prefer, I don't give a flying fuck about history and culture, I care about high living standards and convenience.

@menina my father worked with a company there and the language sounded nice and similar. i also had a best friend move there and learned the language fairly easily.

so, 1. because it's easy and a place i'd like to visit.
2. because i've seen the picture painted as brasil. it's beautiful

I see. But Brazilian Portuguese is different from European Portuguese. You probably heard Brazilian Portuguese and that is easier to learn than the European.

I grew up in America I think anglo-americans can be racist especially Seattle where I grew up. I think where we grew up we have stronger opinion than somewhere else and for me Seattle white people are more racist than Portuguese people although for you it maybe the reverse so it's just based on personal experience nothing objective I think ah well.

@menina One death at an airport does not prove that it was for racial reasons or that there is a pattern of such behavior in Portugal. Ukrainians and Portuguese are all white anyway lol. If they did that to an Asian person then I'd be worried but that's not the story.

As for Seattle the city is very segregated with blacks living in the poor part and whites living in the rich part and us Asians living in between. The whites think they are open-minded but support segregation like this just like Chicago and other American cities. In my opinion it is fake and superficial. Of course if you want to visit Seattle I guess it's your choice nothing wrong with seeing something different.
