Just take a book or newspaper and a dictionary it could be Hindi to English, English to Hindi , English to English. And see in which word you are having problems and check the meaning
After few days you will see your English has improved. If you get chance you speak English with your friends, families and whatever person you are talking to just speek in English. You will see that by doing this your English has improven and you have good accuracy in speaking. so just start doing this method.2

Put in various sentences in your native language, then translate them into English.

I would suggest you to read from variety magazines, for example, Reader's Digest magazine... and you can also check their site online... magazines usually have a wider variety of subjects.

It might help to speak to read books in English and talk to people in English while searching words you don't know. I don't think using a dictionary to learn new words by itself is an effective strategy because most words aren't in use on a day to day basis and it's very easy to forget the words.
