If my kids were vaccinated I would say it as OK if they were not I would have to think about it. Young people do not get very sick from Covid but the teachers all got to cut the line in getting the vaccine so they should all have gotten it. I got mine.
Actually in my opinion, covid vaccination is increase our immunity and increase the chance to fight with foreign diseases. So it's better to take vaccine. But if some people are not taking vaccines., u want to e send ur child to study. Then it would be totally at ur risk.
Kids are the least vulnerable group so yeah.
Crazy stat. More kids were shot in Chicago this year , than died of covid in the last 18 months.
@anshu8181 700,000 people were shot in Chicago last year?
@GaryBacon so are you saying guns are problem we should regulate? Not sure your point here…
Regulating guns will not stop gun violence. That's common sense.
Kids have been going to school with other unvaccinated kids for a long while now. Same dif, no? It all spreads the same way.

If anything. The little germ factories are more likely to give it to each other and the teacher. Than the teacher giving it to them. Even ignoring the general poor hygiene of kids. The law of averages makes it more likely. As you've got thirty kids and one adult. Before the end of the year.
I expect just about every unvaccinated teacher in a classroom will learn the hard way. That they should've gotten vaccinated.
I would not send my kid to a public school. Too much promoting of homosexual life style. Evolution and no God. Teachers say Trump and Republicans and Conservatives are evil. Then say how liberals are great. When you grow up , vote for Democrats. Not to mention promoting having sex by 8 years of age. Nope. My kid will live a Godly life , not a worldly life.
Though I agree, the cost of enrolling one's child in a private school or homeschooling program makes it difficult.
You can still get covid and spread it if you're vaccinated. Therefore, the vax status of the people around you doesn't matter one bit. You can be vaxxed and never come into contact with anyone who isn't, and still get the virus.
Oh that’s a raised a fat kid sure, for kids it’s like a common cold or the flu. One of the guys I actually play poker with is a history teacher and he’s unvaccinated
Yes.
I have no idea what teachers are vaccinated and which ones aren't.
I know the full recovery rate for kids is like 99% anyway.
Yes, you disingenuous, media-puppet, piece of shit.
of course. what could happen? Vaccinated teachers can still catch and spread the virus. Even Fauci, the self-proclaimed god of science has said so.
There's my daily dose of common sense for the woke masses, living in fear of their own shadows on the daily.
It be nice if people stop trying to demonize unvaccinated people, when the vaccinated can still catch and spread the virus.
The vaccination only lessons your symptoms and does not stop you from catching and spreading Covid.
But I suppose that is too inconvenient when you want to propagate Medical Apartheid now isn't it?
@GaryBacon Noooow you're getting it.
@GaryBacon yeah, about your statement... lol

@GaryBacon these shots are garbage when it comes to immunizing you. They're not vaccines.
You do know they are around unvaccinated kids, right? And in much closer proximity as well as duration of time.
I would be more concerned about what the teacher is teaching my kids than with what vaccines they do or do not have.
Definitely not. I’d want my kids to be as safe as possible. It’s why kids (and employees) need a bunch of vaccines to be in a school at all.
Another Branch Covidian.
@GaryBacon
Except for all of the immunocompromised kids and staff who can’t medically get vaccinated. It’s important to think about community and not just oneself.
@GaryBacon
Immunity through infection is temporary. And there is evidence that long term effects can persist. Scientists don’t know for how long yet; the symptoms could last a lifetime and cause health issues later in life.
Would you make the same argument for Polio or Mumps?
@GaryBacon
Also, why did you ignore my last point?
My point is, if you are vaccinated you cannot be endangered or endanger anyone regarding the illness you are immunized against. If you aren't vaccinated for whatever reason you should want the people around you to be so you don't contract whatever you can't be vaccinated against.
Not all natural immunity is temporary, for example, chicken pox. If you get chicken pox you will never get it again.
And yes I would make this argument for Polio and Mumps because they have vaccines unlike covid which is just a shot that makes the symptoms lighter.
How many children under age 18 have died from Covid-19?
@GaryBacon
Which is exactly why staff should be vaccinated. You just made my point for me.
Scientists know for a fact that Covid antibodies are temporary. Also, chicken pox in childhood leads to shingles later in life. It has lifelong consequences.
The Covid vaccine is a vaccine. I think you just misunderstand what it is.
No, it's an accurate term to apply to those who ignore the science and instead live in a world of paranoia and hypochondria.
I'll ask it again. How many children 0-17 have died from Covid-19? I'll even let you lump in 2020 and 2021 figures even though that's not normally how disease fatalaties are counted.
@okeydoke
Yes, I do think that everyone should be vaccinated against the things they can be
But you are immune to chicken pox and thus can't get it anymore
The Covid shot is like the Flu shot, it only helps with the symptoms it doesn't immunize you to it. Otherwise Israel would have next to no cases.
@GaryBacon
Why would you want your kids to get sick and potentially deal lifelong consequences? I wouldn’t want that for my kids.
@GaryBacon
Please see the connection between chicken pox and shingles.
Rapid Evolution of Covid-19 is one of the major factors causing the continued spread. Before delta spread in Israel the numbers there were extremely low.
@joeldalton
Branch Covidian refers to those who believe Covid and associated death are part of God’s plan. It took me about five seconds to check online what it meant.
Under delta (and other variants) number of child deaths are going up. Why would you want your kids to potentially deal with lifelong consequences even if they don’t die?
@GaryBacon
It has been research by organization outside the drug companies and been approved. What else do you want?
@GaryBacon
It has been. What else in particular do you want?
I have my own definition for Branch Covidians. It's better than other ones I could use. So again, how many die from the flu? Use 2019 figures since in 2020 the flu "disappeared"
Yes I can use my definition for a made-up term that didn't exist 2 years ago. So these "lingering complications". What's the rate of them? What are they, specifically? C'mon science guy, you have to be able to do better than just throwing out vague statements.
No, but that’s because I wouldn’t send my children to school.
Yes, because I’m not a psychopath.
I wouldn't send my kids to school, period.
Yep I would.
I'd be hilariously dumb
Absolutely not
Never. That would be child abuse and endangerment.
drama queen much
