There's a tax amnesty going on here extended until 2023 for closed business since the pandemic. There are many people who haven't declared their business closed due to the lack of funding because of the pandemic and some disasters going on here and haven't been able to file and paid for taxes which could've result to 6-10 years jail time. I'm one of those people but i wonder, does it give me a criminal record? I'll just base it in where you live because you may not know the law here. I'm not only asking about for taxes tho but in general. I just wonder.

It depends on which state/taxing authority you're talking about and the specifics of the amnesty. The amnesties we have in place here for small businesses is not a tax debt forgiveness program, it's a "if you pay your tax debt before the end of the amnesty period we won't hold it against you" kind of program. Some locales will accept the taxes and waive the penalties during the amnesty period. It all depends.
