What are some ways to land a job when you have no experience in that field?

Do volunteer work in your area of interest. Job shadow people in the new field. Connect with a mentor and learn all you can. Find out whether certain knowledge or skills might be helpful, and acquire what you're missing. Be patient, but be persistent, and something will open up.

You know... I have not had to rely on my resume to get a job in 10 years. On the 25th I am going to go to a job fair and see what they are like. They said interview on the spot.
