Watching a lot of English movies, listening to English songs and interacting with native English speakers may help. Also, read lots of books, especially old classics. It worked for me. I’m not a native English speaker either.

If we look at your question title, you could improve it by dropping the word "better" because it's not needed. Otherwise just get as much practice as possible.
If I'm not mistaken there are some apps or services on the net that gives you an option to actually talk to people for exactly this reason.
There are classes you can take.
Just look and see what is available in your area.
Technical colleges might be a good place to start.

When learning Danish - I'd watch all my favorite childhood movies in Danish, first with subtitle & then without. Using it frequently did help too.
Talking with others, reading books, watching movies without subtitles...
