Have you ever been at work while drunk or high?

I’ve yet to be high at my current job because I’m a server and bartender and I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be able to function and serve food while high lol. I can barely remember all the shit I have to grab for my tables while sober.

I used to get high at my old job at McDonald’s all the time tho. There wasn’t a single damn person at that job that wasn't high tbh. We used to all stand in the back and hit our dab pens in the store.

I do pretty much everything high lmao. Doesn’t affect my performance in any way. Being high =/= being drunk, fat from it. Only thing it could cause problems over is if someone else recognizes it because they can smell it or see it in my eyes, but in 2022, if you have any sort of problem with people getting blazed, really at almost any time or situation, holy shit, you live in The Stone Age, lmfao, that’s a “you” problem😂😂😂 Either that or you guys need to tell me where I can find this supposed “super-weed” that’s gonna really knock me on my ass, because in probably 25-30 years of smoking weed, I’ve never been so high that I couldn’t go about my day normally. I don’t where we come up with this idea that it’s so incapacitating. I guess in your position, if you feel like you’d forget something for your table, that’s fair. I’m just saying I can’t imagine any situation where after the fact I’d be like “what a terrible experience, all because the employee was HIGH!”, just lmao.

All the pens and edibles make it so easy for you guys these days. Sometimes I park in this plaza in my town that’s behind a few restaurants, and all you see is employees coming out and hitting pens lmao. Same when I’m driving, I look over to the next car, and it feels like every few people taking a pull. This is the world I’ve always dreamed of living in😂

I showed up to formation intoxicated a few times in the military when I worked in patient administration. I would disguise the smell on my breath. It was the only way I would not murder one of my NCOs who went out of his way to make my life Hell. I could function well enough that my work did not suffer. I would never have put any medical records (and by extension servicemembers) in danger through my actions. I wish I did not do so now, but this was all before I found Jesus. Even when I did show up intoxicated it was just enough to calm myself, never even to the level of a buzz.

There's some strains that help me kinda hyperfocus and tune out distractions, and some that help me let my mind run for brainstorming sessions.

I'm not high when I work at the dispensary though, lol. We're not allowed to work there high. I take CBD sometimes if I feel a bit anxious before shift - it's non-psychoactive so you're not really "high".

If I'm speaking, though, or doing a high profile meeting I'll be sober.

Generally, unless I'm doing something solitary and document-focused, I'm not gonna be high.

i work as a server/bartender as well and we tend to drink at the end of our shifts when customers are gone and all we need to do is clean up the place. turns out cleaning up at 4am is a lot more fun when you're a little tipsy

I was high on weed at every job I ever had until I was about 20 years ago. That included 25 years at my job as a motor vehicle damage field adjuster/appraiser. I was good at my jobs. LOL

Yes, some friends and myself went out drinking the night before and went to work with a hang over from slow gin. I had cotton mouth and strated drinking water an got drunk again.
