Should I do cyber security or computer science?

I just got offers from my first choice university in all my choices, but don't know which one to take up.

Computer science (network pathway)

Cyber security

Looks like Computer science you can potentially get paid more then cyber security on average so monetary wise you have your answer.

Passion wise i couldn't answer you but computer science does peak my interest a tad more if i were forced to choose

Dude CyberSecurity 1000%. You will make mad dollars. I hire security experts, the bulk of my business is in monitoring, incident response and reporting. This saved my business.

Just regular IT, infrastructure, etc. isn't as profitable anymore.

Cyber Security is getting bigger by the minute. It's likely the fastest and most in demand field in Computer Tech, get a good GPA, and the Recruiters will be breaking down your door, and you'll be able to write your own paycheck.

Aw, thank you. It means a lot, i've always felt undermined by my male peers when it comes to my interest in computing.

It helps that I was raised by 2 well educated and like minded parents, they always encouraged me to follow my dreams and never be deterred by anyone's opinion that "that's a man's job". I'm pretty proud of where I'm at in my career and I've earned the respect of my peers, both male and female. Just don't take any stock in the naysayers, do your own thing and you'll do well!

Either. I went for cyber security initially, then moved onto distributed data systems. Now trying to beat quantum computers, to foil their future ability to crack encryption.

In the UK we go to college from 16-18, then from 18-22 we go to university. I'm 19.

Yeah I joined the site when I was super young so boosted my age a little :) By the UK system I've taken a 'gap year', so im one year late into uni.
