What motivates you the most when you are working overtime?

I recetnly ended a project needing constant overwork for about 43 days and for the last 15 days I didn't really want to get up from bed. But every time, I just repeated "I love him I love him I love him" and reminded myself of one thing. And that made me jump out of the bed.

And what's that?

For me, my biggest motivation is my (yet nonexistent) child. I want him (and yes, I do prefer a "penis kid") to grow up without any troubles and have enough money to start a business of his own as soon as he becomes an adult. Also love and live the way he wants.

He'd just need to study and go after what he likes and boom, he'll have enough to fund his startup and make his dream a reality.

For me, what motivates me the most is passion for pursuing my dreams. And the core focus of my dreams is to live a fulfilling life full of love, intimacy, adventure, memories, experiences, meaning, purpose, and impact.


It’s more about achieving the lifestyle I want to enjoy with my SO, rather than material things—although having some material things here and there would be a nice bonus.


If there is something that is directly related to helping my achieve my dreams such as a critical opportunity to achieve my goals MUCH faster, I’m going to be motivated to seize that opportunity.


That just happened this last weekend where I was working until midnight and waking up at 4 AM to get back to work, from Friday to Monday, literally working every waking hour.


Why?


I had an opportunity to work directly with a BIG client, which would REALLY fast track my path towards growing my business if I was able to impress them with my work. I only had until Monday to submit my work so I worked harder this last weekend then I have any weekend in my life, haha.


I want to be able to travel the world with my SO, afford to live anywhere in the world, and never need to worry about money ever again. And, build a business empire with my SO as well, impacting and inspiring millions with our work together.


I have big dreams, and I’m passionate about them. When what I’m doing is directly related to bringing me closer to those big dreams, nothing is more motivating to me than that. I never thought I could work 18-hour days back to back and actually feel EXCITED about the work I was doing.

well, when you put it that way...

I brought my office to my house, just so I could spend more time with my beloved ones...

but working overtime, means time away from my beloved ones... so I do not like to be like that people that say "I work all those hours away from you, just so you can have nice things!!"

so, I try to work less, to be around the ones I love

if I do overtime is because the bills I have to pay are actually the paychecks of a few of my employees, who need to bring the paycheck to their beloved ones, they are counting on me too, lol

I usually rely on my sense of duty. I always want all work to be finished and accomplished, since if something is delayed or incomplete for my slowness, I’d feel extremely guilty.
So I work almost every day overtime, here’s a common practice in my field.. I do usually from 1 up to 3 hours each day of overtime work.

The paycheck, I don't get paid over time. My work week is 70 hours long. Every week. I don't get time and a half after 40 hours.

Yeah I just didn't elaborate and no you did not offend me at all. Trust me, if it wasn't for my family I would not work these hours. There's no set schedule, I may have to get up at 10:00 p. m. and leave next day I might have to be up at 2:00 a. m. and work 14-hour days. Don't get me wrong the money's good but if she was able to work I wouldn't be doing this work
