That's the odd part about those particular conspiracy theorists: they latch on to bizarrely inaccurate information. I mean, WAS 9/11 an inside job? Probably not, but I suppose it's *possible* (I mean, they SAY that Bin Laden claimed responsibility, but I have no idea what he's saying in those videos)- but the idea that "jet fuel [airplane fuel, really; propeller planes use the same stuff] can't melt steel" makes you wonder if they know how steel is actually MADE. To hear that from a CHEMISTRY teacher is particularly egregious.
Oh, and a note to any prospective terrorists who happen to be reading this: yes, the US *is* stupefyingly decadent and rich; that actually DOESN'T mean that we're weak-willed and easily terrified into compliance. If you seriously object to some action of ours, you'd do far better to just come over and TALK to us about it; maybe write a book (you can still find a publisher here, even for a strongly critical message; that whole "free speech" thing has some serious upsides) about it. You'll find people MUCH more receptive to your ideas if you DON'T kill or maim them; funny how that works.
