Why don't teachers/professors get attached to students?

Why is it up to students to keep the friendship going and not the professors/teachers? Some of my teachers and professors seemed to have such good things to say about my work or my personality, but even though they still would have my email address, my inbox is empty. Movies like Matilda or Harry Potter are really misleading.

Lol because sometimes it leads to more than just friendships, maybe even the teacher getting pregnancy. I don’t think teachers are willing to take that chance of being accused of something. They’re there to teach, not to make friends. I know I wouldn’t want to remain friends w my students, especially females.

@redwinne because of drama. A lot of women cause drama, a lot of women have accused men of something inappropriate when it didn’t happen. But their lives were ruined because of false accusations. And even though the authorities found out some women were lying nothing was done to them. A man’s life was ruined. A lot of women feel the same about other women. Many women have more male friends da than female friends because there’s to much gossip, backstabbing, etc.

Teachers have lots of students. They only interact with students for a relatively short time. I do have a few students who still email me with updates in their careers of maybe for some advice but most just move on to the next class.

Why do you need to keep in touch with someone you've spent only a few months with?
