So to be an average home owner in America at the moment you’d have to come up with a down payment of $42,870 in cash and be earning $91,404 a year to qualify for said average house. Even with raises when they come, for people to move back up to middle class lifestyles, they will be forced into higher tax brackets.

The same goes for minimum wage workers. They thought they were moving up in the world by going to $15 an hour, but they are realistically still 1/3 the income of a middle class income. They are just in a higher tax bracket now. So they have in effect become more poor.
