well, cryptozoology would be the part about searching for animals that are rumored to exist, like Bigfoot and whatever. For the rest, I'd say that Anthropology would give a person a good background for investigating and solving the kind of mysteries they do.

Is there any hands on work for cryptozoology and anthropology? What would be the exact specialization be for anthropology if you were to go to grad school for something like this?

I don't know that much about cryptozoology, but I know there are places that offer it as a graduate degree. For Anthropology, there are tons of things you can specialize in. Archaeology is a good one that I highly recommend <3.
I would imagine that you'd be best off working with your school to design your own path. It would depend on what courses they offer where you're at. It's entirely possible that you could get an Anthropology or Archaeology degree with a minor/specialization in cryptozoology if you found a school that offered it.
There be lots of hands on work in these fields, even though a lot of your work would also be in a lab, library, or researching stuff online.
