Not to stir up bad memories or crying sessions but my boss called me just a good 30 minutes ago to ask me why I wasn't at a shift I wasn't aware of. I fought back and told her I didn't know I was working today. Still, if I am fired... well i wasn't planning on staying for the next 5 years anyways.

Sooo how about I lighten the mood so we don't have to grab tissues? When my boss told me that I was fired (nicely) for not telling him about a minor accident I had with the delivery truck... it was like a fukin' clamp on my heart just exploded away. I was so happy... and glad I wouldn't have to work there EVER again. So did you do cartwheels out of your job or just moped away in shame?

I have never been fired. *crosses fingers*. I've watched folks get let go, though, and that isn't pretty. The ones that were funny were when I was working at McDonald's and my manager had to fire people. Invariably they threw a temper tantrum.

I quit a lot of toxic jobs some were deadend but ALL were awful until i started working for myself. no boss hovering over my ass no stupid coworkers none of that bullshit

Every person I worked for sucked and was toxic and an awful company which was why I quit every job. I've been so much happier working for myself and not some god awful shit company or shit managers. When i go to some restaurants and I'm forced to interact with the manager or owner they're ALWAYS on a huge power trip so bad I just want to punch them in the face and when i remind them i don't work for them it leads to bigger arguements and blowouts and me giving the assholes the middle finger

it gets so bad swearing fights happen majority of the time especially from companies i don't even work for with the managers. and i sit there thinking to myself if they treat me a person who doesn't work for them this bad this awful i can only imagine the kind of hell they must put their employees through which makes me shutter to think about every working for some of the assholes i've encountered.

there's pricks in every industry regardless of the field. when i was working in retail i almost got into a fist fight with my assistant store manager (at target) at 3am because he was bitching i wasn't going fast enough unloading the trucks and i told him if he thinks he can go faster let him do it and so he did. another time with a different store and different assistant store manager (at lowes) i told him i was going to kill him because he went behind my back and didn't fill out the necessary paperwork to the store manager for my vacation time after i spent thousands on airline tickets and hotel reservations. i found out through the store manager and told that prick asm i was going to kill him needless to say the cops were called but nothing happened. the prick was scared shitless he had another guy with him while me and that shit for brains had it out

the prick restaurant managers were at cheesecake factory, popeyes, gregs, aspargus, and some local family owned one luigis. i have those places blacklisted from ever going there again

and it's not just there but amazon best buy even petsmart has prick managers. one time i was in petsmart looking for something and the useless prick store manager wouldn't even wobble his fucking fat stomach to the aisle where the merchandise was he had one of his associates who was busy as hell do it and i said to the fat fucking prick What are your legs broken where you can't show me yourself you're just standing there not doing anything. he gave me a dirty look after that i took the item and put it on the register and left

i didn't buy it i walked out without buying it. but amazon newegg all these shit corporations have useless managers and store managers even restaurants have useless power hungry managers and chefs who yell and scream and whine like a bunch of overgrown adult babies without their pacifiers. it's sickening all over

I contacted HR to try and discuss the that my supervisor didn't try and help me improve my performance by giving me any training. They didn't really care. Oh well, I am at a better company making more money anyway.

No. They said "that's why we have schedule updates" and "How did this get skipped?" She is a really good boss but the thing was there was NO WAY i could have seen this. Email? Nov 7th with nothing about working yesterday. App? Said i work this upcoming Friday. So i'm sitting waiting for someone to say I need someone to come in and I'd say MEEE. So yeah, there was no notice known to me about this :/
