Do you know how to handle your finances? And if so, how did you learn it?

Well when it comes to finances I'm always the one to give advice to everyone who asks. I learned it from a youtuber who made a "how to budget" video and well from there on there was no going back, I do that every week and one final monthly planning.

And a few months ago I was kinda mothering some work colleagues that they can't go around shopping all the time and today one of them came to me and she proudly showed me her expenses list that she made for this month and ughh it was just so cute!

For habits, I am using apps like HabitNow. My 3 years older self would have said, I do not handle money as I can do whatever I can in the money I get from my parents on a monthly basis.

The amount I got really was even more than a normal salary. So I was pretty comfortable in doing whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted.

But now, I am very price conscious (4th year engineering). I saw other students, how they manage their finances. I also overviewed some books on finances. And now, most of the time, I only get what I need.

But if it is like chips, which comes under the food category, I let myself to be free (I already don't eat that much. Hence.). I prominently pay through online mode, as I can easily track my expenses with the help of small notes I write below the amount at the time of payment.

I take maximum advantage of cash backs, by using different apps. They have earned me around $50, roughly.

I like to think so. But that's kind of a matter of opinion now isn't it. I learned i believe it or not through playing poker.🤣 If you want to be a consistently good poker player you need to have good money management. So it started me understanding how to manage my bankroll and it just spiraled from there. I'm probably one of the few people you're going to find that playing poker was a GOOD influence on. 🤣

I love to budget and manage money. I hate spending money and will try my very best to avoid spending. I sew my clothes when they need some repairing. I love finding new ways to save money.
I grew up rather poor. My childhood has made me the adult I am today when it comes to money.
My father taught me to buy assets, not liabilities. My mother told me to always pay off my debts.

I just write my goals for the month and every week I write down how the money was used to see if I'm meeting my goals or not. I also try to take care of the most important stuff and leave my minor debts for later.
