How good are you at math?

I have math in college this quarter, and boy howdy do I suck ass at it. I know nothing about figuring out sales tax or interest rates.

Tax is just moving the decimal two spaces to the right for whatever percentage is listed and multiple, then add that number to the original number for the total price.

Anyways, I am good at math. I passed my CSET on my first attempt and scored 4 stars (the highest possible) too. CSET is the California state educators exam for teachers.

americans are not just bad at math. you are math illiterate. and it has entirely to do with how you were taught foundations of math when you were little kids. Its like building a house. If your foundation underneath is unstable or bad, your house will never ever be able to stand on its own no matter how pretty it is. Same thing for math. If you suck at the basics, you will never ever be able to get anywhere.

yes, my students are all high school graduates and many of them cannot do basic math.
