Why have I been getting very limited hours at my job?

I’ve been working at a grocery store in my area for almost 2 years, I’m a pretty dedicated employee but for some reason my hours have drastically decreased. I used to work full 8 hour shifts about 3-6 ish days a week. Now I’m literally getting 1 shift a week that’s only 4 hours long. This has been happening for multiple weeks, and for the next weeks on my upcoming schedule it’s the same thing. I’ve been applying to other places to hopefully find a new job, but why would my hours be drastically cut from 20-30 ish hours a week to never more than literally 4 hours a week?

It's either they have cut hours across the board for everyone because of decrease in business/lack of customers and the most senior people are getting the choice of hours first or they specifically cut your hours because they believe you're not reliable or unavailable to work at certain days or times.

There are a couple reasons why this would happen.

They noticed that Your performance on the job decreased.
They hired too many people and they are spreading the hours across the board.
Business has slowed down so corporate demands that payroll is cut to make up for lost profits.

As to why I don't know. But I doubt it's anything personal, it will just be due to management stuff which yeah screws you over but that's how it goes really the management end don't really concern themselves with that mostly.

They either have more new people or they are going slow, they aren't making much money so they give less hours to pay less on salaries, business profits shit, nothing personal
