Why do employers want to hire folks with experience but the existing staff don’t like people that have experience?

So employer wants to hire folks with experience. Bam! They hire them.
The current staff doesn’t like working along with people with experience and won’t work with them. New staff doesn’t like them, employer has to now deal with conflict and new hires are casted aside by current staff.

Why’s this?
