I have a degree in business with a year industry experience but I’m having no luck and becoming very broke what should I do?

I’m working in agency work and sometimes they don’t give me any shifts and I’m becoming very broke and quite depressed

Dang, that really sucks. Job hunting is always so stressful. A few things I would try:

- Apply for any office jobs you can find, even if not exactly in your field of study. Something is better than nothing right now.

- Go direct to companies instead of just job sites. Call HR departments and ask if they have openings or if you can send your resume directly.

- Temp agencies can be hit or miss - see if any other recruiting firms are hiring for longer term contracts too.

- Consider leverage your business degree for sales roles. A lot pay commission only but if you're outgoing it could work.

- Don't be afraid to take on something really different temporarily just for money coming in, like construction or delivery driving.

- Look up workshops at your local workforce center too - they can help with resumes and interview skills at no cost.

Stay positive - this sucky time won't last forever. In the meantime hit up your friends, keep busy with hobbies, and try not to dwell on it too much. You'll get through this! Let me know if any other advice could help.

Have you considered looking in the municipal or state/government Ana? Lots of communities and counties have business development departments.

Go for other jobs few individuals actually get jobs from Thier degrees.

Yeah sorry you need 10 years experience to get a stable job 😄. But you just finished college...

I can’t even get a job in retail so much competition also I’m stuck in fish factories/assembly line jobs it’s horrible
