Over 10. I've been everything from a fry cook to a business owner to an office worker to a mechanic. I've eaten scraps off people's plates and I've gotten dressed up to discuss projects with fifty thousand dollar budgets at fancy places. Every job you get is about networking and setting yourself apart by showing how you understand the bigger picture while being exceptional at your job at hand. Never value yourself on a per hour basis, even if you're hourly. Always identify the person who can get you what you want and become their best asset. Learn the frustrations of those above you and become the solution, possibly even if it means having other people cover for you. And it's often times easier to start a new job at a better position than to get promoted at one where you're not on the fast track. And the younger you are, the wiser it is to pick a lower paying job doing something you like. Your enthusiasm and ability not to get burnt out will come in handy and pay dividends the more time you spend around the same people.

I think around 20-30? Like that range? Mostly same jobs as software engineer. But I'm an independent contractor so I worked for a wide range.
