Holy crap. Tons. Lifeguard, water safety instructor, pool manager, annual fund caller, administrative assistant and various marketing and event planning roles.
Mostly retail. I have been in retail management for over 30 years. Now am just a flunky, do not need the stress of management. I work in grocery so I get paid pretty well. If i had to do it all over again I would have stayed in the job that brought to Seattle. It was one of two jobs i was excited to get up to go to. I worked in the Health Club industry. Started as an instructor and worked my way up to management, then my best friend moved to LA and I left the industry and took a retail job. It was a mistake. I should have stayed in Seattle. After 5 years of hell I came back.
Maybe like 7 🤔
I was a female lapdancer, then I was a cop, then I was a rhinoceros and after that I was a bag of Cheetos, then a feeling, then a concept and now a robot.
If you were only a bag of regular Cheetos and not a bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos, then you haven't lived up to your professional potential.

I have had so many jobs over the last 38 years, I have lost track of most of the jobs I had, before I went into the Navy. I actually have a document which list all of those jobs in a file. I really could not remember all of them in order. It must of been at least 8 to 12 jobs before I went in the Navy. It may be less than 12 or greater, but definitely not below 8.
I think it was fifteen all together, beginning when I was in 8th grade, working on weekends in my uncle's gas station. That one and eleven more would have been before I was 26 years old. when I got really good job and did that for 30 years. After that, I had two more for a short while before I officially retired.
2 jobs, however the first one in the Air Force, covered a load of different job types if you looked at civilian jobs that were similar.
Unlike a lot of other Air Forces, the RAF, employs its aircraft engineers in a number of very diverse roles. The principal being if you are clever enough to fix aircraft and their associated systems and modules, then you can do other stuff lol.
My current role has a lot of different hats due to the different teams involved.
A couple of jobs when I was younger with cutting grass and knocking down weeds and making yards look decent, one time I was stung by 6 bees on my back and went to get checked out at the ER but they gave me a shot and sent me home, no allergy reaction but I was just shaken up, I also had a paperboy job for a while, After a while, it got to be too much cause of school work
Oh so many... I was never given pocket money so worked ever since up to and during and after university...
1. Paperboy
2. Working for Royal Mail (postal services)
3. Working in food factory
4. Working in paper factory
5. Working as bar staff
6. Working as bar manager
7. Working as insurance broker
... The list goes on! lol
In different fields or at different companies?
Including internships I've worked at.. 6 companies, officially. 2 completely different fields, manual labour and software development. For the latter I went from programming medical equipment to game development, which is quite different.
I worked in retail for a long time and had a home business type of thing (that went nowhere, I might add) before I decided what to study at university.
I worked at two sheltered workshops and a school. I was a brake assembler for Hell’s Workshop, a dental package assembler for Temco, and I was an after school care assistant for Kids R Kids Learning Academy.
My last 3 jobs were all in retail/customer service. Now I work in film which is my first job in this industry.
babysitter, housekeeper, tanning consultant (did it only for free tans), cna, and my full current job is physician assistant :)
Can't even count them. Got my first job at 14. Probably have had maybe 15-25 jobs... if you only count the full time ones... something like that. More if you count part time or temporary jobs.
Technically I have had one job going on for near 15 years...
But I was in the army for a couple years and I was with my local sheriff's office for while but it was unpaid , so three if you want to count them all
I work in IT and people change jobs more than they cahnge their socks/.
They do that in all fields these days.
@loves2learn When I first go into the field I had 3 jobs in one year. The first place went out of business, the second one got bought by a compertor and moved to New Jersey and the third one I resigned because I found a better job after about 4 months. A copple of jobs after that I ended up staying for 16 years.
Hubs was loyal to his company for 15 years and got zero appreciation for it. It’s just not valued anymore.
@loves2learn Yes, I agree with that. THe whole time Iwas there I looked for a better job but I was really too old by then. At fifty I have sort of aged out of the workforce.
I suppose. When they hired Jr. Engineers and a rate higher than him and wouldn’t fix it. He knew it was time to go.
@loves2learn After I was hired I found out that one of my technicians made more money than I did. He worked there for a long time and was at the top of the pay scale. My old boss (not the jerk that replaced him) actually corrected this and got me a decent raise.
That is a decent boss!
@loves2learn Yes, If he did not retire I would still be working there.
I’ve had 8 jobs.
13 if you include self employment jobs.
At least 10, but I started working when I was a teenager.
21 including a paper route but not including three businesses that I have owned.
About 35 to 40. I've worked every job possible that isn't illegal or requires a degree.
I've been in my current workplace for 4 years and worked in another place for two weeks (in two different occasions) to cover a worker who was sick.
I currently have 3 jobs, I have had 2 others in the past.
After high school 1 job during high school I can't remember how many.
I took what jobs were available including 3 8 month stints as a conservation volunteer which was unpaid.
I've had about 1 job at restaurant
one at dollar store
then one at grocery store
one at gas station
and then 3 different IT jobs.
10 as far as I can recall, in three professions: graphics, telecom, massage.
The first 26 years of my life I had about 30 jobs. In the last 12 years I've had two.
Waitress, salesperson, web developer, office assistant and hopefully accounting roles soon.
i worked part time dong the register at coffee express before covid
If you count all the various part time jobs, so many.
ohh many its a lot lol. and likely ill have more in the future. at least more than 10 at this point
@PeacefulRainDrop
how many have you had?
Ahh actual jobs I've had 8.. but if you count babsitting, volunteer work, direct selling, tree planting.. I couldnt tell you a definite number I will say just my regular parents that got me to babysit add on 7 more.. I did camp counselor, worked in the kitchen another year, another year the photographer, soup kitchen, out of the cold shelter, spc, nursing home and food bank volunteerment... I tried to sell scentsy.. was successful until with my man he is sensitive to smells so gave it up now trying to sell avon its not working the best.. tree planting did it with a friend cause a bunch of people quit on his boss.. was only 2 weeks worth so wouldn't call a job
@PeacefulRainDrop thats a lot.
camp counselor makes me think of the Friday the 13th movies lol.
Hahaha it was a camp a resbit sorta thing doubt I spelt it right.. I lived at the ranch a different set of kids came in every week in July and Aug.. id be in charge of 8 girls in my bunk and 12-15 girls and guys in my travel group.. not necessarily the same girls in my bunk.. took them around to different games on site the ranch set up was horses, archery, canoes in a lake, a pool, bike trails, sing along times, story times, and meal time.. my group would be also matched with a different mans group and all the groups would compete loudest cheer.. so every group had two leaders one female leader abd one male leader.. no couples were allowed to be in the same group.. every Sunday id be alone at the ranch prepare my own food since I lived 4 hours away they let me stay absolutely best days of my life also the toughest cause they were under privileged kids.. foster kids.. troubled kids.. the ranch went bankrupt but a few of the kids I met ill never forget.
@PeacefulRainDrop aww thats cute. sounds like a fulfilling experience!
It was.. ill never forget Janet she was in my bunk house basically only time id see her is when wed go to sleep.. She cried for the first day cause she wanted to be in my travel group.. so Judy one of the camp/ranch directors tried to see if anyone would leave my group and go into Morgans group no one wanted to leave.. I said to Judy the whole point us for her to have fun she behaves very well in the bunk.. That week I was paired with Mike.. Mike agreed with me it was fine.. at the end of the week she had her arms around my neck wanting me to be her mom.. I was only 16.. the leaders ranged from 14- 19.. the ranchers from 5-13 depending on the week.. I asked about her she was a foster child mom a coke addict has no other known family around she was 7...
Another kid that stood out to me was Myles he was wise beyond his years.. my guy leader left a death in the family middle of the week.. and Myles even tho he was only 10 one of the youngest in my group actually that week was 10-13 year olds... he was like my little helper.. cause a leader was suppose to be a child all the time lets say one forgot today was swimming one leader would take the children to the pool the other would stay up outside the lodge and wait for the others to change.. so one of the girls fell he leg was bleeding took her to the pool chlorine is a disinfectant but that wasn't good enough she wanted a bandaid.. and we were at bikes.. the kids that week were hard very bad didn't listen my only week I joked back tears.. felt like I was wasting my breath dont sit there, there's sap.. what they do sit there.. but anyway Myles offered to go find Judy ask for a bandaid since they are suppose to go in pairs I sent Ben with him he was one of my good ones he didn't want to go so with Myles I told them both if they went id buy them something from the canteen.. so they did.. meals were provided for free each kid had $10 he/she could spend how ever they liked during the week at the canteen was all candy.. so Myles was Jr. Leader and two of my most difficult kids were given to other groups.. so we made the most of it.. at late night story time id wear layers cause I knew my girls not all would listen a bring a sweater.. even tho it was still warm.. so first one that came to me that got cold id take one off until I was in a teeshirt.. didn't get all of my sweaters back but its okay use to make me mad but now I hope taking my sweater home with them gave them some comfort.
@PeacefulRainDrop so did you kids sing any camp songs? share scary stories or anything like that?
Yes stupid songs that made them laugh like there's a hole in the bottom of the sea.
Yes scary stories anyone could talk say what they were feeling
@PeacefulRainDrop well sounded fun! i never went to any camps myself. a couple retreats perhaps but we didn't stay in tents, more like cabin rooms
Yup same here
I love camping tho!
2 I always quit though I decided to take a year off and sleep at the park I’ll go back to work next year
