for me i guess i've only been a paid survey testor if that counts as a job

for me i guess i've only been a paid survey testor if that counts as a job

OMG , I'm pretty old so there have been quite a few..
1. Booking clerk @ tennis courts ( age 16 )- part time , still at school.
2 . Golf Caddy at Victoria golf club.
3 . Sports store chain in Australia - 4 years - from Sales assistant to store manager Chadstone.
4 . API trading ; Sports department manager.
5 . Golf store chain - Melbourne Australia ( Full time 2 years , but worked part time for another 10 years )
6 . Greeting cards and gifts ( sales representative , my first company car )
7 . Simply Golf , they gave me a car too ( Brief role )
8 . Sales representative - Dry cleaning and Laundry supplies , company car , this was an awesome job , maybe should have stayed.
9 . Bic Australia - Sales representative , started as Sales Rep , making it though to State Sales manager - 9 years in total.
10. Land sales agent , land subdivisions ) for an agency ( 2 years )
11 . ( Brief ) Land Sales agent ( not a good agency )
12 . Land Sales , same company as no 10 , but this time I had their very best project so made money
13 . Land Sales and New homes , working directly for a developer , the great thing about this gig , you got paid upfront ( retainer - ) then commissions on unconditional contracts - this role went for around 9 years.
14 . Land Sales for state government organisation , they had a new project and asked me to apply , which I did.
15 . Got real lucky ! Land Sales , new project near my house , they asked to apply , did this entire project , from display village right though , made great money , then started another project on the other side of town.
16 . Wholesale builder ( brief ) hated this , and hated going to city every day , too much travel
17 .- Self employed - Airbnb host / investment manager / Golf Club sales
----------------------------------------------------------------- Up to this point when I was thinking to relocate to Thailand , which is why I wanted passive income
18 - Land lord direct (2) - Investment manager - own portfolio ( still doing )
------ Back to Brisbane ( 8 months ) after Covid , kind of mandatory visit to sort out a few things , I did all the following roles ( obviously all brief )
19 . Dishwasher / kitchen hand parliament house.- 2 nights haha
20 . Bed sales person - Aspley Brisbane
21 . Caravan Sales ( New ) , I sold a couple but quit early on.
22 . Major land agency ( Queensland ) thought this was going to be good , but timing this time was really poor.
-------------- So back to Investment manager ( self ) and back to Hua Hin.
Now inbetween all of this ( side hustles while working ) mostly in my 20s - 30s , I was..1. Gambling ticket sales ( pre computers ) 2 . Table cleaner ( low of low , Italian restaurant ) 3 . Golf shop proprietor ( there were 3 of us , I'd work the weekends part time ) 4 . Golf Club sales ( sourced product from my old supplier ) and would sell from home.
Reading though all this has been really good , I didn't realise I had done so many things over my life , the real serendipity ( and that what it was ) was Land in Australia , and a buoyant 25 years , all years were great , but working for big developers was great , there are few roles like this anymore , where just one person does it all.
16 a dishwasher at the peppermill casino
Until I get enough money to buy a car then I got a job detailing cars
Then went to work for petroleum engineering
That was a great job but when they wouldn't give me what I wanted in pay there was another company in town Sundance service
And I went to work for them and that was an excellent job but when they wouldn't give me what I wanted I would go back to petroleum engineering they would not only give me what I wanted but more and I did that for 25 years back and forth
Then another petroleum maintenance contractor who was totally in the red losing his business and everything he owned came up talked to both my bosses both companies and they said that I would probably be the guy that would help him out the most so he contacted me I was in Washington at the time meeting my real father for the second time
Ended up going to California working down there for a couple years until I caught
Him sitting at my desk one day and taking my invoices in recharging the people I told him he couldn't do that and he told me if I didn't like it I could let the door hit me on the ass on the way out and I said you got that right I said you got to understand something those are all my people now long story short
I was bringing him in over 1 to 100,000 a month and I couldn't understand where the money was going I told him he need better start looking at the secretary and one of the other guys there and he did that and found out that they have been embezzling for a bunch of years but he wanted me to go back to work for him and I said no
Move back to Reno started helping a friend build homes he's lazy LOL so I started doing work for realtors and. Real estate management companies
And now I have the hardest job that I have ever had in my life and the most saddest job I've ever had in my life
My mother has Alzheimer's and dementia she was living with my sister and some things happen there with my nephew and just a bunch of drama and she wanted me to go pick her up so we can go look for an apartment for her to rent and I said no that's not going to happen so I ended up moving her in with me and
She doesn't know who I am now it's sad to watch a strong independent confident woman there is three kids turn into a five year old child it just makes my heart brake. So if any of my people call me up and they have something I can do within an hour's time I jump on it if it takes a couple hours I'll get a babysitter type help but I can't do big jobs anymore but that's life it'll all work out and I will take what I learned from it and I don't know what I'll do start living life again I guess
Let's start from when I was a kid...
I am quite the worker, but not many employers must think I am.
In order from first to current:

Your job counts! :) Someone thinks the task has value and is willing to pay for it to be done. That's a job.
In my life, I have:
First job was a nepo job just organizing AutoCAD files for my dad’s engineering office. After that I was a retail worker in a gas station, following that I worked in a call center for an insurance company (absolutely hated it, do not recommend), and after I was finally let go of from that job I got into pizza delivery and stayed there for a few years. In 2019 I started working with vocational rehab as job hunting on my own wasn’t working out, they got me a job as a community rehabilitation provider, essentially a job coach for the people that had tried to find me a job. In 2020 I was all set to find jobs for other folks but then covid happened and everything shut down and the branch ended up shutting down completely in the wake of the pandemic so I was laid off. I went back to pizza delivery and that’s where I’ve been since.

so a bunch of jobs over lapped and side jobs that lasted for years because I enjoy them.
I’ve basically been designing in one way shape or form since I was 13, and now I’m 34. I’ve been designing military gear for over 10 years now and that is my steak and potatoes.
Dang, I’ll have to think, haha…
Video store (anyone old enough to remember those?😂) clerk; supermarket jobs: bagger, cashier, grocery clerk, produce clerk; I worked at an ice cream window; “brand model” at Hollister Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch (fancy name for guy who folds jeans and hangs shirts but they wanted to be able to legally hire based on looks, but we just had to be like normal-good looking, not legit models, lmao); bar jobs: bartender, bouncer, manager; and I think my last job is the only one with a fancy title, Chain Sales Director for a grocery retail company.
Since I started working, which was around this time in 2004...
Some of those, I held simultaneously. There were also a couple of others I'd rather not mention.
And at my current employer, I've had several different positions. I'm currently working in the purchasing department.
A crap ton, some were shorter lived than others, first and foremost a firefighter/medic, still am, truck driver, heavy equipment operator, landlord, still am, gas station attendant/mechanic, truck mechanic, worked on my grandfather's farm, business owner, on the safety team at a race track, worked in a lumber yard, forklift parts delivery guy, work at a summer camp, kind of did everything, caretaker at a couple of places in exchange for rent, bartender, owned a snow plowing business, school bus driver, bouncer, probably a few more that I have forgotten about. a few of these were part time jobs for extra income.
My first job was a graffiti artist. I really liked it but there wasn’t that much work in that industry at the time.
Then I was a tattoo artist at someone else’s shop, now I have my own tattoo parlour and am an artist there too.

But I still love to make my hobby into something else like doing some articles and write novels soon
I worked at a place that made trophies then i worked selling police equipment and uniforms. I had a job building swimming pools. I installed computer systems in department stores and banks. I used to work in the microelectronics lab for a major defense contractor. I worked in IT for almost 20 years and I have been a college professor.
Various jobs. Bar tender, waiter, McDonald's. Security guard. Rent a cop. Male stripper. Currently work as a welder.
I particularly enjoyed working as a male stripper especially doing bachelorette parties, those women are wild and up for anything.
My favorite job was working the Super Bowl concerts. Dolphin 🐬 and hurricane football games. Famous musicians, all kinds of things like that event staff. I enjoyed everything for free and I got paid for it to make sure that things run smoothly.
I have to say I have had some absolutely GREAT jobs in California. I worked for Fluor Engineers and Constructors, McGaw Laboratories, Ford Aerospace, The Boeing Company, and Shurlok Corporation.
