Teachers are important but not as important as getting taught at home. School starts at home. Parents need to read to their children and teach them how to read and write so they don't depend so much on the teacher to do everything. I plan on my kids being at a higher level when they start school, being way ahead of the kids their age. I want to be a collaborator with the teacher and not just send my kids off expecting everything to fall on the teacher.
