When I retired with a pension in 2010 at age 55, I was a senior material damage (motor vehicle) field adjust/appraiser and was taking home almost $5k a month after deductions. (I was also contributing 11% of my salary to a 401k of which the company matched 6%). Plus I had a free, all expenses paid company car and got a new one every 80 to 100 thousand miles (around 2 years). And I had other amazing benefits.

Both in my case.
Universal Credit the regular jobseeker given money to those who don't have a job.
Then I also get PIP it's given to people with disabilities/autism.
