Why do my colleagues who work part time complain they don’t earn enough but they could easily change to full time and earn a good salary?

Being paid what you’re worth has nothing to do with how many hours you work. The shittier the work, the more you should earn. We have an exceptional opportunity in the US right now to change labor laws and working conditions dramatically in favor of workers. People need to join and/or form labor unions and learn to boycott effectively.

It is often the lazy people that don't put in much effort in life that complain the most and want the most rewards for the least effort. It is because of the participation trophy mentality in society. They grew up getting the same benefits as those that actually worked hard and earned things.

People want to have free time. It's often more important than money, especially if you own already own home and you will inherit lot of real estate when your parents bite the dust.

Cogntive dissonance is when we have two conflicting beliefs at one time. Like they love the idea of the Law and hate criminals…but will vote for Trump this November.
