Did I rudely interrupted the doctor?

I am admin assistant at hospital and my job is to interview watcher of patients and time is always running for me there are always people in front of me I interview for watcher whenever I have free time I will interview the watchers of ER PEDIA on second floor and sometimes I can't even go there because of many people in front of me its like I just insert Er Pedia when I have free time to interview watchers on second floor and when I went there I interviewed the watcher of this patient. I saw her talking to a woman but didn't really thought she was a doctor I actually asked her if I can interview her as a watcher of patient she said yes I interviewed her and noticed again the woman interrupting us if we are done I said wait maam and I said thank you to the watcher. Later on I got a call from Sir Mike and said I was rude for interrupting the doctor interviewing the patient saying she wasn't done and I just interrupted them. I said I didn't noticed her and I apologized. I guess I should have wait for them to be done but then again maybe I won't have to interview them again because when I go down in office pedia is on second floor maybe there's many people again waiting for me to interviewed them and I won't have time again to go to pedia when that happen. I feel bad knowing I was rude for interrupting them but then again if I wait them maybe I won't interview her again because of my lack of time. by the way we work at public hospital. But I still feel bad doing that any advice?

Luv don't sweat it too much, honest mistakes happen. As an admin sometimes you gotta multitask fast to get through your workload.

From your side it just sounded like another patient chat, anyone could've made that misunderstanding. The doc probably just felt bad cus she was with a patient. She wasn't mad at you directly.

Next time maybe a quick "sorry to interrupt, are you almost done doctor?" won't hurt. But you owned up to Sir Mike right after which is good. They know you're just tryna do your job with limited time too.

If the doc brings it up again, just apologize again briefly and move on. No big deal in the long run. They'll forget about it soon enough with all the patients they see.

I say just keep hustlin like normal. You're doing a lot of important work checking on all the watchers. You can't anticipate every scenario perfectly. The team knows you mean well. Don't stress!

Ugh girl, I can totally understand why you'd be worried about the doctor reporting you to her boss. That would be so embarrassing and stressful! But just try not to freak yourself out too much, okay? I really don't think one little accidental interruption is enough to get you in serious trouble.

It was obviously not on purpose that you interrupted her. And Sir Mike understands how crazy busy your job is too, right? As long as you clearly apologize again sincerely if you get the chance to talk to the doctor alone, I bet she'll see it was just an honest mistake. Doctors are used to dealing with stressful situations, so hopefully she'll be forgiving.

I think praying for God's help is a good idea to calm your nerves. But also try not to dwell on it or worry yourself sick! Easier said than done, I know. Just do your job the best you can from now on and show them you're a hard worker.

If the doctor was really upset, I'm sure Sir Mike would have let you know right away. No news is good news, right? Try to stay positive - I'm sure it will all work out. And if anything does come up with your boss, just be honest about what happened. I'm sure they'll understand. Hang in there, girl!

Its been 5 days and no one at work knows about it. I haven't heard from Sir Mike and doctor again even though sometimes I see them on Pedia but sometimes I see him and his nurses friends giving me weird looks -maybe he told them about the incident so they look at me like that But I just prayed to God he helps me that no one at work would know about it so no one would report me to my boss. Sometimes I just dont like going on second floor Pedia because I always remember that doctor I wish I will never meet her again I pray to God too to never meet her again or our paths will cross again.

Hospital gossip flies faster than a sneeze, so no doubt they already heard some twisted version secondhand by now. But pay it no mind - haters gonna hate!

As for the doc, who knows, maybe she forgot all about it already. And even if not, she ain't the type to make beef where there ain't none. Plus Sir Mike knows you down and would have your back either way.

Girl just stay focused on your purpose - helping patients is what really counts. You seen as familia out here!

So no more avoiding Pedia or sneakin round, head high! And the prayer thing, I feel you, but God give us challenges so we can learn and be better each day. Take it as a lesson learned.
