Some are great and have peoples best intentions at heart. The problem is that so many of them are wannabe professionals who don’t have any degree or certifications. Some are certified and hold degrees.

Like anyone in that field finding the right person who isn’t pushing their own agenda can be hard. There are really good life coaches and really bad ones but that’s with anything.

Im not saying that because someone isn’t certified that they aren’t good or that their heart isn’t in the right place. There is those who aren’t though.

It’s very sad that people would play around with someone’s life to make easy money. It’s like scammers who read cards and even help people grieving because they aren’t thinking rigjt and are desperate to find anything

Especially if it’s a missing loved one or dead person

I don't think all life coaches are bad. I think some believe it's easy money. But some people genuinely they can help, so they try.

No absolutely not all are bad. I would say many mental health professionals got into their line of work too to help people. The problem is that they realized it’s nearly impossible but that’s what they went to school for.

So they tell people what they want to hear and by the time someone figured it out they got their Money and have new clients.

It’s not that some people can’t be helped if they want it. If they want the truth.

But sone people don’t care at all to mess with a persons life. There are so many scammers out there who operate legally like card readers making up nonsense ahour loved ones

They've never appealed to me, and I don't see myself hiring one. But I'm sure that some people get a great deal of benefit from them.

I agree. Mentors are great. I was jw what people thought of life coaches. If they were worth hiring to them...

If you have the money you hire an image consultant which is basically a life coach but much more expensive. And yes, they are totally worth it

I think they are a plague to eradicate, essentially because they are fueling their businesses on an omnipresent confusion between psychology and self-help. Shoot them all in the brain !

I had a friend who was a wellness coach. I was fighting depression and she did give me some good advice. I would not pay for the service though. I could probably find plenty of advice online.

Well, a social worker or a therapist have strict guidelines on how close they can be to you. A life coach can be a friend you already had, or become friends with. It's significantly more casual I think.
