What was your middle school and high school life like?

Okay. I went K to 8:00 to Our Lady of Perpetual Punishment so my middle school was there. The only thing I learned in Catholic school was a loathing for Catholicism. The nuns had no training in content or pedagogy and were simply unfit to be teachers. If it wasn't for my friends in public school in addition to my Catholic school friends I think I would have lost my mind.
On to high school, I actively petition my parents for no more Catholic school and they agreed I went to public high school. A whole new world opened up!! From a class of 55 to a class of 350 with 1100 kids in the building!! I was intoxicated, literally and figuratively with HS. The girls! The beers! The pot! The upperclassmen! The open campus! Starting in high school till about a few years after college were the best years of my life!
I actually think that my high school experiences led me to become a high school teacher. I traveled in all the social circles that are high school can have and I think I had a good handle on who and what a high school kid is.

It was fun for the most part. We didn't have phones like preteens and teenagers have nowadays, so we actually socialized with each other face-to-face, went places, and did things.
It was full of fun most of the time.
Middle and high school years were foundational for my growth. I focused on balancing academics with extracurricular activities, participating actively in clubs and sports. This blend offered both challenges and opportunities to develop skills like leadership and time management. Support from teachers and peers played a crucial role. My curiosity for learning and drive to succeed guided me through those years, laying the groundwork for future educational and career decisions. It's essential to embrace these experiences and let them shape you for your journey ahead.
