Sick leave at work?

I’ve been getting sick pretty often, cold, Covid,
Had a miscarriages and suffer migraines. My boss always seems supportive but today I saw an email sent To my manager saying I’m sick often and something about it becoming a habit to not be in the office. He said although my reasons are always valid though. He asked to see my sick leave records for the year.
I’m pretty irritated because I do my best and not sure how to handle what is going to come of this.

I understand that people get sick. But I also understand that they hired you to work.

Some companies are more flexible than others. It depends a lot on whether you are keeping up with your work and what kind of deadlines they have. If you are regularly missing deadlines, that can be a problem, maybe a really big problem.

So what can you do about it? You can offer to work overtime to make up for the lost work days. If you miss a day, work an extra hour per day for a week or two. That will go a long way.

I didn’t see any comments regarding my work it was more so in person office attendance. I work in an office as a secretary. Not sure what they will discuss between them but will be keen to see what they say to me, whenever I am sick etc I always get such supportive emails, take the time off, take it easy etc. so really pissed at this two faced behaviour but I will mention I’ve never been told anything less than take the time off get better etc.

Valid or not - if you have more sick days then allowed you ain't it for the company. You can be irritated all you want, they're just doing their job by checking if your worth having in their mist or if you're always sick and therefore not doing the job you're hired to do.

I'm sick and tired of my coworker who's constantly "sick" with "covid", "migraines" and god knows what excuses she uses. Fucks up my work life and schedule.

Lol, if your JOB requires personal attendance - than this is nothing you can just choose when you do or not. Clearly they're unhappy with you and your sick days - so it is about the work you're doing (not doing). 🥲🤣

If I am sick and have a chronic illness am I meant to force myself to go into the office? When they tell me to stay home and get well take care etc. there never was a sense of issue of me working from home when I am unwell. When I had my miscarriage I didn’t even take a day off, so kind of rich to be questioning my work or attendance. Probably was better off taking sick leave than working from home while sick.

If that is what you've sign up for then yes,
if you can't do the job you signed up for - you find one you can. Or you keep thinking the job is a volunteer center there for your amusement and pleasure, which is what it sounds like. Have fun with that.

10 days I believe. I don’t think they realise even when I’m sick I still login and wfh when I had my miscarriage I still was working
