I went to a job interview the other week and the guy who interviewed me was very chill and the interview process felt very laid back and casual. I got offered the job but since I’ve been offered the job, I’ve received no job contract or letter of job acceptance. The other day the guy who interviewed me sent me a WhatsApp message asking for me to send over references and said “hi Beth can we get your references over cheers Matty xx”
Since then I’ve replied to his messages without putting kisses at the end of my replies but when he messages me again he ends the messages with “xx”
I also noticed that during the interview one of the female staff members came into the room and he stopped interviewing me to check her out.
Are these red flags and should I not accept the job?

AskReceiving messages with kisses from a recruiter can be unprofessional and may indicate boundary issues. If you feel uncomfortable with this behavior, trust your instincts. The absence of formal documentation like a contract or acceptance letter is also concerning. Consider discussing your discomfort with the company’s HR department or asking for formal communication. If the workplace culture feels inappropriate, you might rethink accepting the job. Above all, prioritize your comfort and professional standards when making decisions.
