The rat race gets harder every single day it seems
I love what I do in theory
But I hate that I have to dedicate my life to working
There are periods where I can’t even place events on different days
Meaning I don’t know if I talked to this person on Monday or Tuesday because time flies and Im constantly busy
And the choice to keep healthy and go to the gym has killed off any potential down time I could have had
So it’s a day and night run
But then again, I wouldn’t trade this for the alternative which is being out of work and with no purpose in life
My ultimate goal is to optimize to the maximum my income sources to the point where I can have free time and money to spend so that I can make the most of that free time
As a kid I thought that more money means a better life but now I realize that it’s not the money itself that is the source of happiness it’s the time you can buy yourself with that money11 Reply- 29 d
All that you say is very true. It's good to know that you have become aware of certain things and how it will help you create a better life or all that you seek in the long term.

I'm lucky enough to work in the field I studied at university. That hasn't always been the case though. I had to accept jobs below my qualification or outside of my interests. I've had bosses who where real ***. The last boss I had at my last job was brilliant though. I'm my own boss now, so I can't complain.
It also gives me the freedom to spend time with my daughter after school. Even if it implies occasional weekend work to compensate for time spent elsewhere.

@EmmaMary Although my job ( farmer) is very demanding ( no days off, working outdoors, heavy on the body) I love the benefits in terms of the quality of life that it offers. I work for myself, I choose my own hours and it gives me free time to work on my many creative hobbies. Add to that the fact that I work in close contact with nature which means I can really focus on my internal wellbeing and process all things stressful and internal issues I may have. Of course it's a job which I won't be able to do in the long term and that's why I am working on qualifying myself to do another job. Keep in mind that this current job wasn't my choice. My father passed away and I was forced out of circumstance to continue his work and help my mother but I am very grateful and I make the most out of every situation taking the good and leaving behind all that is negative. AskEnjoying your job often depends on a mixture of personal interests, work environment, and professional growth opportunities. Reflect on what aspects of your role excite or motivate you. I have always pursued roles that align with my passion for helping others succeed, which makes my work fulfilling. If you find satisfaction in your daily tasks, meaningful interactions, and learning opportunities, it's likely that you do enjoy your job. If not, consider exploring ways to align your role more closely with your interests. Always seek feedback to better understand and enhance your job satisfaction.

well, yes... I picked it myself, lol
what I like the most about it is that it will give me flexibility to find some more time to spend with my family and friends, something that's greatly needed in my life
some days are much busier than others, yes... but for the most part, at least as of now, it can be quite permissive to certain extent30 Reply - 28 d
I've had about 4 different careers and I've enjoyed everyone exce pop t for high school teaching. Teaching at college level wasn't as bad but before that it seems n like drill sergeant training is more appropriate. I was naive enough to think I'd be shaping eager young minds. Aside from that, I've liked j II vs that brought some a free of difference every day.

Sometimes it is enjoyable other times it is tense. I look at my business as a way to generate income so I can enjoy the rest of my life.
