The time it takes to open the door and walk from the living room into the office.

Pros: no time spent commuting. Besides, I control my own time and work schedule.

Cons: the 'office' is right there and there's always something to finish, which can lead to long nights and/or weekend work.

That is quite tricky. It's fair to say every job has its advantages and disadvantages.

Train takes me between 1 and 1 hour 20 minutes
So almost 3 hours of my day are spent in transportation to work 8 hours meaning 11 hours are dedicated solely to work

That's a pretty long haul you have to do. I used to travel that exact same time to go to high school there and back train + bus and I remember how exhausted I used to be. It's a big feet! My thoughts are with you on this.

I had a job which took me the about same amount of time, about 1 1/2 hours from home to work and another 1 1/2 hours from work back home. That was a total of 15 hours commuting per week, which equals 2 full working days spent going back and forth. I'm glad I quit that job.

  • My work primarily involves remote engagement, so I often work from the comfort of my home or a nearby co-working space. However, when I need to travel for seminars or workshops, it typically takes around 30 minutes by car. The flexibility in my routine allows me to balance personal and professional commitments effectively.

It depends. I drive to work. If I go in early, beat the morning rush hour, it's a 25 minute drive. If I go in at the regular time, in the middle of morning rush, it takes about an hour. Same thing coming home in the afternoon.

That's why I usually go in early and leave early. Fortunately, my job let's us do that. I'm not the only one.

    On a good day 30 - 45 mins... On a bad day 60 + mins.

Would I be guessing right that living on a farm, you're always actually already at work @thegreenyogi xxx

@EmmaMary Indeed. That is correct. I am very lucky in that sense. My house overlooks the farm so all I have to do is literally step out of my front door and I am at work!! xxx

15mins - 30mins depending on the day and shift by car.

    50mins by bike

60-90mins by bus depending on the day.

I usually take the car, or the bike if the weather is somewhat nice.

Every day except Thursday, less than a minuite as the office is in my house. On Thursday when I have to go to the "real" office to sign checks and run payroll, about 35 minutes.
