As someone who’s worked retail primarily I know how incompetent the general public can be the lack of common sense is genuinely starling but on top of having to deal with the average persons bullshit you know have these idiot children coming into stores with cameras thinking there gonna be TikTok stars or something by annoying retail or fast food workers. Crazy part is nobody gives a fuck retail and fast food workers get treated like shit and for no reason half the time hell most of the time it’s the stupidity of the average customer that cause the issues. They expect this luxury service as if there in a fucking designer brand store, and even those store have way structure rules and less tolerance for there bs. How is this just allowed? I get these are beginner jobs no one wants but when I see videos of how people react when like a janitor is cheating and someone near by casually drops trash in that workers path people are pissed. Where’s is the same level of consideration for fast food and retail workers? And some of these people are the type that have nothing better to do and want to just start problems that in top of the shitty pay and often times management plus these dumb kids and there tik tok pranks and videos I’m surprised the retail space still has workers but it’s usually kids just starting to work who don’t know better. It’s sad to see seriously.
