Does your job define who you are?

For me what I do for a living it's really important for the person I am. I've served in the Army from 2013 to 2017, I worked as a nurse from 2018 to 2022 and now I'm back to serving as a police officer.

I am proud of everything I do to serve and protect my country, my people and do the right thing for everyone that needs help.

I don’t think my job defined who I am. I like my job, and it pays the bills, but it’s not a defined personality trait for me. I could very easily replace it. However, seeing your job list, I can see why your jobs would be so important to you if your first job was the Army. That means you were psychologically torn down and rebuilt to be a soldier, so taking an immense amount of personal investment into your job and making sure those jobs are not only specifically ones that provide for the community, but place you in a position of power over someone else makes sense.

I am a firm believer that those who have strenght should use it to protect those who don't have it.

There’s nothing wrong with seeking positions of authority as an ambitious individual. You’re clearly making a point of creating and listening to ethical boundaries.

I’m a retail worker and deal with customers a lot. Yes it defines me. I’m a nice gentle and helpful person or I try to be usually.

Huge respect to you i dont think its easy for women to do these jobs ❤️. I wanted to be a police officer but didn't pass the physical tests...

because it's not like a career for which I went to college for years and years... to me it is a way of living (financial income) and it does provide for myself and others
